HiFyve is hiring a Lead CNC Lathe Programmer in the Manufacturing industry in Kansas City, MO!
Salary: $30-$45/hr + excellent benefits!
Shift: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Location: Kansas City, MO
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop CNC lathe programs using MasterCam for three, four, and five-axis machines.
Program, set up, and operate Mori Seiki live-tooling lathes and Miyano multi-spindle/multi-turret lathes.
Provide guidance and support to CNC operators to ensure efficient production and adherence to project timelines.
Perform first article inspections and maintain high-quality standards throughout production runs.
Utilize precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) to verify part accuracy.
Analyze blueprints, job orders, and specifications to determine machining operations, tools, speeds, and feeds.
Conduct trial runs and modify existing programs to enhance machine efficiency.
Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machinery as needed.
Ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.
Assist with training new employees on CNC machine operation and programming procedures.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required.
Vocational school training or apprenticeship preferred.
U.S. Citizenship Required due to government contracts
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
5+ years of experience programming, setting up, and operating live-tooling lathes.
Proficiency with Mori Seiki Lathes, Miyano Lathes, and Fanuc Controls.
Previous leadership experience is a plus but not required.
Strong knowledge of metal properties and machining processes.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Outstanding mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong troubleshooting abilities with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
