Controls Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Controls Engineer in the industrial automation space who thrives on solving complex engineering challenges and bringing high-performance systems to life.

What Youll Do:

Design and deploy complete control systems for custom industrial automation projects

Program and fine-tune PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems to meet project and client specs

Tackle technical challenges in system troubleshooting and resolution

Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and customer stakeholders

Manage testing, startup, and commissioning phases with precision

Support and guide junior engineers on project work

Stay current with automation trends and safety standards (including Category 3 and 4 design)

What You Need:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar field

7+ years of experience in controls engineering within industrial automation

Deep experience programming PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, and Yaskawa

Hands-on experience with Cognex PC and hardware-based vision systems

Strong understanding of protocols like Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.

Proven project leadership in control system design and execution

Willingness to travel for commissioning and on-site support

Clear communication, strong problem-solving ability, and team-first mindset
