Purpose:

Responsible for the safe, clean, effective and cost-efficient operation of all warehouse and delivery functions of the Macedonia facility.

Scope:

Warehouse: Receiving, Inventory Control, Order Picking, Will Call handling, Loading, Hiring and Supervision of hourly warehouse workforce, including discipline up to and including termination. Participation in formulation and enforcement of safety policies. Related reporting and recordkeeping.

Specifically, the Operations Manager has responsibility for adoption and use of the warehouse management system (WMS) by our warehouse workforce. This requires a thorough understanding of the system's operation, sufficient to train the warehouse workforce and coordinate resolution of systems issues with systems support.

Delivery: Routing and Final Mile Delivery (on company equipment), Common Carrier, Courier shipments. Hiring and Supervision of delivery workforce, including discipline up to and including termination. Participation in formulation and enforcement of safety policies. Related reporting and recordkeeping.

Assisting the Warehouse and Delivery Coordinators with their specific duties and tasks.

Maintenance: Facility maintenance including trucks and warehouse equipment, lawncare and snow removal. The Operations Manager is responsible for purchasing warehouse and shipping supplies in coordination with Bennett's other facilities.

Management: Have an introductory level of understanding Profit and Loss statements or managing to a budget. Must have the ability to make fact-based decisions and explain to the team the basis of the decision. Have the skills to understand how to input data, create and manage KPI measurements (Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets).Company Description
