Job Title: Order Picker Operator

Job Description

A distribution center in the northeastern Indianapolis region is searching for Order Picker/Forklift Operators on 1st shift. This role involves manual order picking based on pick tickets, handling heavy items, and utilizing various equipment to ensure efficient and accurate order fulfillment.

Responsibilities

Manually pick orders based on a pick ticket, handling items weighing 25-50 pounds.

Regularly use RF scanner to track inventory and ensure accuracy.

Operate sit-down forklift and cherry picker to stage products and pick pallets.

Use wrapping machine to prepare shipments for delivery.

Conduct quality inspection of final shipments to ensure all items are accurate.

Utilize Microsoft applications on the computer for inventory tracking and order processing.Essential Skills

Proficiency in using RF scanners.

Experience in order picking and material handling.

Ability to operate forklifts, including sit-down forklift and cherry picker.

Capability to perform heavy lifting.

Familiarity with Microsoft applications for inventory and order processing.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with reach trucks.

Work Environment

This position is based in a 75,000 square foot warehouse that is well lit, clean, and slightly loud. The facility is equipped with racks that stand six sections high, approximately 25 feet tall, creating a spacious and organized work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Greenfield, Indiana.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr.
