Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Data Center Capacity Analyst to join our team on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in managing capacity and ensuring the seamless operation of data center infrastructure. This position is based in Ashburn, Virginia, and offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies while supporting critical business operations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage data center capacity to ensure optimal performance and accurate forecast modeling.

• Collaborate with Facilities Management teams to evaluate the impact of day-to-day activities and project deployments on power, space, and cooling resources.

• Participate in planning efforts to optimize data center space, including developing rack elevations and estimating power consumption.

• Oversee the design, construction, and event management of white space expansions within the data center.

• Ensure all operational procedures and global standards are consistently followed to support the Data Center Operations team.

• Implement administrative and operational policies in alignment with corporate goals and strategic objectives.

• Conduct security, access, and data center audits to ensure compliance with established standards and practices.

• Perform postmortem analyses to identify root causes of operational issues and implement corrective actions.

• Proactively maintain relationships with key business units to align workloads and ensure their needs are met.

• Stay informed about new products, market trends, industry developments, and best practices to drive innovation.• Demonstrated experience working in a data center environment, including infrastructure and operations.

• Strong understanding of data center technologies and their applications.

• Proven ability to manage and forecast data center capacity effectively.

• Experience in space planning and power consumption modeling for data centers.

• Familiarity with designing and managing white space expansions.

• Knowledge of operational procedures and compliance standards within data centers.

• Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective measures.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
