Job Description

General Summary

Prepare site plan drawings to include retail, office, warehouse, hotel and residential projects. Coordinate with various internal departments and outside civil engineers. Review and incorporate municipal code requirements and internal building constraints.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Make changes for all site plan revisions at the request of leasing, construction personnel and executives. Review aerial or site drawings and prepare site plans for retail, commercial, and industrial buildings.

Prepare site layout plans for new and existing commercial properties incorporating municipal code requirements from information provided to include sketches, tax maps, as-built surveys, aerial mapping and municipal GIS data.

Prepare colored presentation plans for use by management team in presenting projects, including issues of permitting and town codes. Assist in resolving issues with construction issues such as surveying, engineering, and environmental issues.

Analyze various design requirements including landscape buffers, building setbacks and recommend possible solutions or alternate construction.

Perform field visits to evaluate sites for conceptual planning from time to time.

Evaluate zoning, and environmental code requirements with other departments to ensure adherence to codes and regulations.

Update tenant information on site plans. Maximize square footage on site drawings based on information provided by right to build, design, leasing team.

Upon request, assist in completion of dimension control plans.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Minimum 1 (one) plus years’ experience in preparing site plans and engineering drawings. Experience with commercial/retail buildings a plus. 2-year degree preferred.

Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, and Bluebeam required. Experience in Sketchup, CorelDRAW 2020, Google Earth Pro, and Nearmap a plus.
