Duration: Short-term 3 months project-based

Role: Part Time - Flexible hours

Reports To: IT Strategist & Project Manager

Overview:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to conduct a high-level review of a municipal IT environment and provide actionable recommendations. This role is key in assessing risks, compliance gaps, and suggesting governance improvements for public-sector systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Review existing cybersecurity infrastructure, tools, and protocols

Identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps

Recommend improvements aligned with NIST, ISO, or other public-sector frameworks

Provide a summary risk profile and mitigation plan

Assist in documenting security portions of the final IT strategic plan

Qualifications:

3–5+ years in cybersecurity analysis

Experience with government or public-sector security assessments preferred

Knowledge of risk management frameworks (NIST, FISMA, etc.)

Ability to translate technical risks into business language

Part-time
