Industrial Plumber/Boiler Controls Technician
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Industrial Plumber/Boiler Controls Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems, as well as controlling and maintaining industrial boiler systems and related equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of plumbing and boiler operations, mechanical systems, and the ability to troubleshoot and perform preventive maintenance to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Plumbing Installation & Maintenance:
Install and repair industrial plumbing systems, including water, gas, steam, and drainage lines.
Troubleshoot and repair pipe leaks, clogs, and other issues related to plumbing systems.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Test water systems to ensure optimal performance and resolve any malfunctioning systems.
Boiler Operations & Maintenance:
Install, maintain, and repair industrial boilers, burners, and associated control systems.
Perform regular inspections, monitoring, and testing of boilers to ensure they operate efficiently and within safety regulations.
Adjust boiler control systems, burners, and pressure valves to maintain optimal performance.
Respond to boiler-related emergencies and repair systems in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
System Troubleshooting & Problem-Solving:
Use diagnostic tools and instruments to identify and repair plumbing and boiler control system issues.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve complex mechanical issues and ensure continuous plant operations.
Perform preventive maintenance to avoid system failures and prolong equipment lifespan.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to all safety procedures and ensure safe work practices around plumbing and boiler systems.
Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations.
Perform risk assessments and ensure all work is done in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or vocational training in plumbing, heating, or mechanical systems preferred.
Proven experience working with industrial plumbing and boiler systems.
Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, safety regulations, and boiler control systems.
Experience with troubleshooting and repair of industrial equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving and mechanical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
