RMA of New Jersey is currently seeking a Call Center/Patient Access Coordinator. This is a full-time position Monday -Friday 9:30am - 4:30pm, can be hybrid for current internal employees.

Job Purpose: The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for performing patient care duties, including but not limited to addressing all inbound calls, providing accurate information, and maintaining professionalism while providing an exceptional service.

Essential Functions and Accountabilities:

Manages high volume of inbound calls/inquiries in a timely manner.

Triages and schedules appointments within established guidelines. Answers client inquiries by clarifying desired information; researching, locating and providing information.

Understands company’s offerings, communicates policies and practices information accurately.

Resolves problems by clarifying issues, researching, exploring answers and alternative solutions; Escalates medical complaints/questions to the appropriate medical professional.

Provides timely response to patient inquiries by telephone or email consistent with service and quality standards.

Documents all communication according to standard operating procedures. Provides notification of any urgent request, complaints or compliments to appropriate party.

Maintains call center database by entering required information. Updates existing patient information as needed.

Academic Training:

High school diploma or equivalent – required

Studies level: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)

Position Requirements/Experience:

1-2 years of experience in a multi-physician specialty practice; 3-5 physicians - preferred

Prior experience in a call center or customer service environment

Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.

Knowledge of administration and clerical processes.

Technical Skills:

Excellent computer skills inclusive of Microsoft Office; must be able to type no less than 45 wpm, prior experience with medical software (scheduling software) preferred.

Knowledge of office procedure and office machines (i.e., computers, faxes, copiers, etc.)
