Job Title: Machine Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a variety of fabrication equipment, including Table Bender, Shearline, Overhead Cranes, and Forklifts.

• Organize, tag, and load rebar as directed by the Shop Manager and Project Manager.

• Ensure quality standards are met consistently while maintaining a high level of safety awareness and performance.

• Use basic math skills, including fractions, for accurate calculations required in fabrication processes.

• Accurately read and understand a tape measure for precise measurements.

• Participate in additional shop-related tasks, such as welding and general fabrication duties, as needed.

• Maintain effective organization and a strong attention to detail while working efficiently and safely.

• Work effectively under tight deadlines while maintaining a positive attitude and approach to problem-solving.

• Lift, move, and load rebar bundles while ensuring that all equipment is operated according to safety standards.

Qualifications:

• Strong physical stamina and ability to perform labor-intensive tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills with a sharp eye for detail.

• Timeliness and effective time management, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Exceptional communication skills with a collaborative team-focused mindset.

• The ability to perform well in high-paced, sometimes stressful, environments.

• Prior experience with fabrication equipment, overhead cranes, and forklifts is highly preferred.

• Basic math skills, with the ability to read and measure accurately.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting heavy loads (50-75 lbs), prolonged walking, and standing for extended periods.

• Exposure to high noise levels and fluctuating/high temperatures, especially during the summer months.

• Willingness to work shifts that may exceed 10 hours, and the ability to manage physical exertion throughout the day.
