Job Description
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: The primary responsibility of this position is to process guest food orders, perform cashier functions and provide exceptional service to all guests. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Provides exceptional service to guests and other customers in a courteous manner.
2. Takes food order selections from guests, calculates cost of food order and packages go food orders.
3. Performs money exchanges, receipt processing and other cashier functions on assigned point of sales system.
4. Is responsible for maintaining a complete knowledge of all menu items.
5. Performs food preparation and manages the quality, portion controls and delivery of food items.
6. Operates a variety of Concessions equipment including broilers, ovens, skillets, deep fat fryers, range, choppers, slicers and mixers.
7. Fulfills room service requests in a timely and efficient manner.
8. Completes all side work including restocking condiments, paper products and plastic ware during the close of each shift.
9. Prepares and maintains all par levels in freezers and refrigerators.
10. Is responsible for dating, rotating and recording all products to ensure freshness.
11. Maintains a clean work environment to increase guest satisfaction and maintain defined sanitation guidelines.
12. Is responsible for performing all deep cleaning activities of all equipment, storage and concessions areas according to designated schedule.
13. Notifies supervisor, manager or facility administrator of situations that may affect guests, associates or the Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.
14. Performs other duties as assigned.
POSITION RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Frequent contact with all associates within all departments.
External: Extensive contact with guests and visitors.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Performs position responsibilities under the direct supervision of the Concessions Manager checking with supervisor frequently for directions or questions.
EDUCATION: A high school education or equivalent is required.
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of six months experience in cash handling or customer service is preferred.
SKILLS: Must possess accurate cash handling, math, interpersonal and communication skills. Must have basic knowledge of sanitation requirements. Must be able to work in a positive team environment and maintain confidentiality.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
1. Work Conditions: The majority of responsibilities are performed within the confines of the Concessions areas with exposure to differentials in temperature.
2. Exposure to Hazards: Controlled exposure to high temperatures from cooking equipment and food preparation may occur. May be exposed to situations where spills, wet floors or guest behaviors may create undesirable conditions.
3. Physical Requirements: Continual walking, bending, standing and lifting is required.

The manner in which the employee relates to fellow employees, customers and visitors is considered parallel in importance to technical knowledge and ability. Respect and consideration given to the dignity of each customer, visitor and fellow employee is a requisite of successful job performance.
OTHER: Must attend all mandatory meetings and participate in departmental training and development sessions.
Full-time
