Position Summary
Odyssey Systems is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to join our Enterprise Alignment team. This new position plays a critical role in overseeing corporate project management, ensuring that initiatives are effectively executed and aligned with Odyssey's organizational goals. In addition to managing the portfolio-level view, this individual will directly lead and execute multiple high-impact projects concurrently across departments. The ideal candidate brings a strong project management foundation, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to drive progress in complex, cross-functional environments. Experience in knowledge management, process improvement, or enterprise systems is a plus. This is a hybrid position based out of Odyssey's corporate headquarters in Wakefield, MA required to support from office 3 days per week. Responsibilities
Duties include, but not limited to:
Portfolio Oversight & Governance Oversee the corporate project management queue, ensuring alignment with executive priorities and departmental objectives
Work closely with Enterprise Alignment leadership to review, prioritize, and track progress on all corporate initiatives
Identify resourcing needs, risks, and cross-functional impacts across projects
Maintain standardized reporting, dashboards, and project tracking tools
Manage team's review cycle of corporate projects to ensure timely updates, completion, and close-out
Project Management & Execution
Serve as Project Manager for multiple concurrent cross-functional projects
Lead project planning, execution, monitoring, and close-out activities using best practices (e.g., PMBOK, Agile, or hybrid methodologies)
Facilitate stakeholder engagement, manage timelines and deliverables, and ensure high-quality outcomes
Drive accountability across teams, manage dependencies, and adapt plans as needed to meet project goals
Process Improvement & Knowledge Sharing
Support continuous improvement efforts within project management practices and tools
Champion consistency, documentation, and knowledge sharing across the project portfolio
Contribute to building a culture of collaboration and transparency within Enterprise Alignment and across Odyssey
Collaboration and Communication
Serve as a liaison between departments, ensuring strong communication and stakeholder alignment
Prepare and deliver regular updates to senior leadership on project and portfolio performance
Provide guidance and mentorship to other project managers or coordinators regularly
Qualifications
Citizenship: Must be a US citizen
Minimum Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Organizational Development, or a related field
Years of Experience: At least eight (8) years of progressive experience in project management
Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or other relevant certifications are preferred
Technical Skills
Proven experience managing complex, cross-functional projects
Demonstrated experience in portfolio or program-level oversight
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools (Teams, Planner, SharePoint, PowerPoint) and project management platforms
Experience with advanced MS365 tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Viva, and CoPilot, is preferred
Preferred experience with knowledge management, change management, or enterprise systems
Familiarity with DoD contracting or working in a government services organization is a plus
Experience developing or managing SharePoint-based project tracking systems or dashboards is preferred
Interpersonal Skills
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Experience working in a matrixed or professional services environment
