Bindery Operator - Printing Industry Experience Required

Precision Staffing is seeking a Bindery Operator for a manufacturing company specializing in high-quality business communication solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience operating at least 3 core bindery machines and will be responsible for producing high-quality printing jobs while meeting customer and company expectations, and adhering to strict deadlines.

Responsibilities of Bindery Operator

Operate at least 3 core bindery machines, including Stitcher, Cutter, Folder, Folder/Gluer, Die Cutter, and Collator.

Produce high-quality print jobs to meet customer and company expectations.

Follow job specifications and ensure efficient, cost-effective operation.

Perform maintenance on bindery equipment and troubleshoot as needed.

Keep accurate daily records for data collection.

Communicate effectively with manufacturing personnel and ensure smooth handoffs between shifts.

Assist in training new and temporary employees.

Maintain a clean and organized production floor.

Work overtime, weekends, and across departments as needed.

Adhere to company policies and ISO Quality Procedures.

Qualifications of Bindery Operator

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience operating 3 core bindery machines in a print environment required.

Strong knowledge of bindery processes and troubleshooting for various machines (Stitcher, Cutter, Folder, etc.).

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds on occasion.

Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for prolonged periods.

High school graduate or GED required.

Knowledge of PSI systems is a plus.
