Radiologic Technologist (PRN)

Perform a variety of medical imaging procedures ensuring patient safety and proper use of equipment.

Act as the first point of contact for patients to address their imaging needs.

Participate in call rotations for CT and ultrasound, as well as Continuous Quality Improvement activities.

Ensure patient safety by following protocols to minimize hazards like radiation and burns, and explain procedures to patients.

Select appropriate equipment, position patients accurately, and shield as needed.

Assess patient pain and coordinate with physicians for interventions.

Perform specialized imaging such as mammograms, cholangiograms, and myelograms.

Program and operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, and angiography equipment, maintaining records and assisting in training staff.

Complete scheduled calls after hours, interact professionally with patients and families, and ensure all tasks are completed before shift end.

Require high school diploma, certification from an AMA-approved radiologic technology program, ARRT registration, Texas radiation license, BLS certification, and physical ability to assist patients.

Effective verbal and written English communication skills; additional languages are a plus.
