JOB TITLE: Database Administrator

GOVERNMENT AGENCY & LOCATION:

JBSA Randolph, TX

POSITION TIMING: Immediate hire upon Contract Award and completion of all background and security investigations. Candidates must be willing to sign a Letter of Intent for submission with their resume.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage the development, administration, and execution of data management systems supporting the CRAFT enterprise.

Serve as the central data subject matter expert (SME) responsible for data governance, security, integration, classification, and accessibility across all CRAFT sites.

Working in close coordination with the CRAFT Program Office, CPMs, Site Leads, Domain Leads, PASO, CC, and data analysts, shall ensure accurate, secure, and user-friendly systems are in place for enterprise-wide data capture, analysis, and reporting.

Administer all enterprise-wide data management platforms including the CRAFT system of record, scheduling software, SharePoint, and related tools. Responsibilities include user access control, account creation, role and permission settings, development and implementation of Unique Identifier Codes (UIC), onboarding of new users, and training support for administrative users.

Lead the day-to-day data operations across the CRAFT enterprise, ensuring data is accurately entered, properly classified, securely stored, and retrieved in compliance with HIPAA, PII, and Air Force cybersecurity regulations. Monitor access controls, usage, and user compliance.

Collaborate with developers and programmer analysts to support the creation of dashboards, workflow automation, and other enhancements that increase usability, integration, visualization, and performance of CRAFT data tools.

Support strategic planning and capacity building by recommending improvements to data systems, tools, and long-term data architecture in alignment with mission needs. Ensure data management practices are adaptable and scalable as requirements evolve.

Assist the Program Office in data validation initiatives, data quality monitoring, and the development of research deliverables. Provide analytic support to assess program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on performance data.

Track data management initiatives using project management software (e.g., Microsoft Planner) on NIPR and maintain visibility through shared project boards with the CRAFT Program Office and PM team.

Develop, maintain, and distribute policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials for system administration, appropriate use, and end-user support. Ensure all Contractors are using compliant scheduling systems and reporting tools.

Maintain oversight of data-related assets including software licenses, lease contracts, warranties, and safeguard access credentials and other Government-approved database documentation.

Support travel to other CRAFT sites or locations without current CRAFT programs to provide onsite or virtual database support, deepen understanding of operational needs, and assist with data-related onboarding or expansion.

Complete all required CRAFT compliance training and documentation, including CRAFT Program Familiarization, HPO Inappropriate Relationships and Harassment Training and Acknowledgment, DOD/DISA Information Systems Policy, social media Policy, and PII Training. Maintain records of training completion and credentialing for Government review upon request.

Participate in all CRAFT Program Office all-calls and leadership syncs and collaborate with other personnel to ensure unity of effort in data practices across the enterprise.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Secret clearance required.

Possess 7+ years’ Professional experience in database administration.

Basic understanding of disaster recovery and database backup procedures.

Understanding of Government IT Certification and Accreditation Process.

Proficient understanding and working knowledge of computers, e-mail, voice mail, and telephone texts to perform duties.

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint..

EDUCATION:

Must meet minimum requirements per the assigned workforce role 421 – Database Administrator in the intermediate proficiency level IAW DoDM 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program and Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent IT Project management certification.
