Job Summary
The Teacher Apprentice role is designed for individuals pursuing a career in education who are actively enrolled in a teacher preparation program. This position provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the classroom while working under the supervision of a certified teacher. The role supports the development of teaching skills, classroom management strategies, and professional growth in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Assist certified teachers with lesson planning, instruction, and classroom management.
Provide support to students individually or in small groups to enhance learning outcomes.
Lead classroom activities under the guidance and supervision of the mentor teacher.
Participate in parent-teacher conferences, staff meetings, and professional development sessions as required.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation related to student progress and classroom activities.
Actively engage in reflective practices to improve teaching strategies and student outcomes.
Adhere to school policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Qualifications
Education:
Must hold a valid Substitute Teacher License (required).
Actively enrolled in an accredited teacher preparation program.
Progress Requirements:
Demonstrate consistent progress in the teacher preparation program by providing evidence of passing scores each semester.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.

Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
