At The Children’s Center for Communication/Beverly School for the Deaf (CCCBSD), we provide transformative, person-centered education and services for deaf and/or disabled individuals in a language-rich, inclusive setting. We are seeking a warm, detail-oriented Front Desk Representative to serve as the welcoming face of CCCBSD and provide administrative and operational support across the organization.
Your Impact
As the first point of contact for visitors, families, and staff, the Front Desk Representative plays a key role in maintaining a safe and welcoming school environment. This individual also supports the broader administrative operations of the school by managing front office logistics, facilitating communication, supporting data systems, and assisting with tasks across departments, including HR, operations, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities
• Greet visitors and manage the flow of guests in and out of the school building
• Answer and screen incoming phone calls with professionalism
• Maintain front office cleanliness, supplies, and organization
• Manage staff and visitor sign-in/out logs
• Order office, paper goods, and program supplies
• Support the HR Department with onboarding and clerical follow-up
• Assist with bus duty documentation and coordination with transportation companies
• Process lamination requests and distribute mail internally and externally
• Support attendance reporting and communication with districts
• Enter checks into the money log and review vendor records annually
• Monitor Medicaid reporting and other compliance logs
• Maintain and update internal directories and school databases
• Provide support to the Administrative Coordinator, Executive Director, and Directors as needed
• Troubleshoot office equipment and liaise with service vendors
What We’re Looking For
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred
• Minimum 2 years of administrative or customer-facing experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Docs, and Sheets
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate clearly
• Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
• ASL fluency preferred; willingness to take ASL classes required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs

Work Environment & Physical Demands
This is a fast-paced, school-based administrative role that requires multitasking across a variety of physical and digital environments. Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs is required. Participation in emergency preparedness drills is also expected.
Located on a hill overlooking the scenic Bass River, our seven-acre campus sits at the corner of Echo Avenue and Route 62 in Beverly, MA — just 18 miles north of Boston and about 25 miles from Southern New Hampshire. Our peaceful, welcoming campus provides a beautiful environment for meaningful work and connection.
Schedule Details
This is a 12-month position aligned with CCCBSD’s school year calendar, plus five (5) additional days during the summer. Those days will be scheduled collaboratively with your supervisor.
Work hours are 8 hours per day, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Start time can flex slightly between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m., depending on school and student needs.
During school vacations and summer weeks when students are not in session, the employee will not be required to work unless otherwise arranged.
Background Check Requirement
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of all required background checks, including Massachusetts CORI and SAFIS fingerprinting, in accordance with state regulations.
