Senior Electrical Test Technician As an Engineering Sr.
Test Technician on the Research and Development (R&D) Team, you will execute and support targeted testing of system software and hardware.
System hardware includes sensors and hardware related technology.
Testing will include existing products along with new projects from prototype through a production ready state.
This role offers the opportunity to work in an energetic, highly collaborative, technical environment where you will be able to develop your technical skills.
Your work will be a critical part of innovative product development and regulatory compliance certification.
This is a 1 year Contract To Hire role.
What you will be doing as a Senior Test Technician… Execute, analyze, and record targeted testing of IID systems to evaluate system requirements within a defined timeline.
Execute test plans in accordance with approved standards and procedures; maintain detailed records of results.
Submit and validate defects f rom failed test cases in the preproduction environment . Own and record defect facts f rom time of discovery through validation.
Support inventory and set-up of product configurations and test equipment.
Assist in vehicle installations, equipment calibration, and utilization of electrical and software testing tools and sensors.
Assist in the day-to-day operations of the Engineering Test Lab.
Manage several project tests at once, shifting priorities based on department needs.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills you ideally bring to the table as a Senior Test Technician… BS degree in Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
Experience in software and/or hardware testing.
Understanding of product development life-cycle processes.
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, curious tester who can complete assignments on time following pre- developed procedure.
Comfortable communicating within a diverse team of testers, engineers, developers, team leads and product owners in an onsite team setting.
Experience with MS Suite including Excel and Word.
Valid Driver’s License and ability to operate company test vehicles.
Experience that will put you ahead Experience with data collection software and tools such as multimeter and oscilloscope.
Experience working within a lab setting, using measurement equipment such as pipettes, graduated cylinders, calipers, etc.
Experience with soldering and/or electronic assembly.
