Job Title: Electrical / Instrumentation (E/I) Planner Location: Bucks, Alabama Type: Contract Compensation: $53 hourly Contractor Work Model: Onsite System One is currently seeking an Electrical/Instrumentation (E/I) Planner on an 8 month contract position located in Bucks, AL.
Electrical/Instrumentation Planner Responsibilities: Develop and maintain detailed maintenance plans and schedules for all electrical and instrumentation equipment and systems at the Plant.
Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to prioritize and plan E/I maintenance activities.
Ensure that all maintenance work is performed in compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
Identify and procure necessary materials, tools, and equipment for E/I maintenance tasks.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
Monitor and analyze equipment performance data to identify trends and recommend proactive maintenance strategies.
Collaborate with the reliability team to implement predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
Assist in the development and management of the E/I maintenance budget, including cost tracking and reporting.
Provide technical support and guidance to E/I technicians and other plant personnel.
Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action processes for equipment failures and downtime incidents.
Continuously improve maintenance processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Electrical/Instrumentation Planner Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, instrumentation engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical/instrumentation maintenance planning, preferably in a power plant or industrial setting.
Strong knowledge of electrical and instrumentation systems, including control systems, PLCs, DCS, motors, switchgear, and instrumentation devices.
Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other maintenance planning software.
Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in electrical and instrumentation maintenance.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
Certification in maintenance planning and scheduling (e.g., SMRP, CMRP) is a plus.
