Machine Operator Assistant

Job Description

As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating CNC lathes and mills. This includes loading and unloading parts into the machine, initiating the run cycle, and ensuring parts meet quality standards. You will perform hand inspections, deburr edges to smooth out parts, and use calipers and micrometers to confirm correct sizing before stacking the parts in crates.

Responsibilities

Operate CNC lathes and mills by loading and unloading parts.

Initiate the run cycle on CNC machinery.

Inspect each part by hand to ensure quality standards.

Deburr the edges of parts to ensure smoothness.

Use calipers and micrometers to verify correct part sizes.

Stack inspected parts in crates for further processing.Essential Skills

Experience with machine operation and deburring.

Proficiency in CNC operation and blueprint reading.

Ability to use calipers and micrometers effectively.

Basic machining skills, including mill and lathe operations.Additional Skills & Qualifications

Background in inspection using micrometers and calipers.

Mechanically inclined with basic math skills.

The pay range for this position is $19.76 - $21.77/hr.
