What You’ll Do
As a Physical Therapist Assistant in our Home Health team, you’ll:
Deliver skilled physical therapy interventions in patients’ homes under the plan of care set by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Educate patients and caregivers on safe mobility, home exercise programs and adaptive equipment.
Document treatments, progress notes and reassessments in our electronic health record (EHR) in real time.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team—including PTs, OTs, nurses and social workers—to optimize outcomes.
Travel within our Iowa/Illinois service area using your reliable vehicle (mileage paid).
Must Haves
RequirementDetails
EducationAssociate degree from an accredited PTA program
LicensureCurrent PTA license in Iowa or Illinois (second state license within 6 months)
CertificationsBLS/CPR through the American Heart Association
Driver’s LicenseValid license, auto insurance meeting Genesis minimums
Tech & DocumentationComfortable with mobile EHR charting
Soft SkillsClear, compassionate communication; ability to motivate patients in home settings

Nice to Haves
Prior home health or outpatient rehab experience
Knowledge of OASIS or comparable home care documentation
Bilingual skills (Spanish or Bosnian)

Status: 20 hours per week (.5 FTE)
