Summary & Additional Information

The Data Analyst designs, develops, and maintains data extracts, queries, reports, surveys, statistical models, and visualizations, using advanced analytical tools to inform decision-making related to recruitment, admissions, scholarships, financial aid, enrollment, retention, and graduation. The position ensures accuracy and efficiency of output and makes recommendations consistent with findings, campus enrollment goals, and university policy. The incumbent is a vital member of the Office of Assessment & Technology's (OAT's) Data Team and works collaboratively with the Technology Team and with all Enrollment Management partners and other campus constituents.

This position requires the incumbent to exercise analysis and independent judgment in working with campus partners to ensure that data methods are consistent with federal, State, and university regulations. Documentation and training materials must be delivered in a way that they will be clearly understood and interpreted by end users, even by those who might not be familiar with student information and data environments. The incumbent must be able to ask clarifying questions to determine the specifics of what is being asked and seek consultation when unique issues are presented; and must be able to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders who rely on data analyses for decision support.
