Job Summary: As a Banquet Server, you play an essential role in creating exceptional experiences for our guests during events and private functions. You are responsible for setting up banquet spaces, delivering attentive and professional food and beverage service, and ensuring the space is clean, organized, and properly reset. Your focus on guest satisfaction and teamwork contributes directly to the success of each event.

Key Responsibilities:Event Setup & Breakdown

Assist with setting up banquet rooms according to event layouts and standards (tables, chairs, place settings, buffet stations, etc.).

Break down and reset event spaces following each function.

Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout service.

Food & Beverage Service

Deliver food and beverage service in a timely, professional, and courteous manner.

Serve plated meals, buffet items, or passed appetizers according to the event format.

Perform basic service tasks such as refilling water, clearing plates, and refreshing drinks.

Assist with wine service and bar support where applicable.

Guest Experience

Greet guests warmly and ensure they feel welcomed and attended to throughout the event.

Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests or concerns.

Maintain a polished and professional appearance at all times.

Teamwork & Communication

Work closely with the Banquet Captain, fellow servers, kitchen staff, and bartenders to ensure smooth execution.

Follow directions and adapt to changes in event timing or flow.

Support other team members to ensure consistent, high-quality service.

Cleanliness & Safety

Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment in accordance with health and safety standards.

Ensure food handling and alcohol service meet company and regulatory guidelines.

Properly handle and store banquet equipment and supplies.

Qualifications:

Previous banquet or restaurant server experience preferred, but not required.

Friendly, team-oriented attitude with a guest-first mindset.

Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid Indiana ATC alcohol service permit.

Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to off-site events if needed.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and carry trays and banquet equipment (up to 40 lbs).

Comfortable standing and walking for long periods.

Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and varying event schedules.
