A leading innovator in ingredient technology, is seeking a Senior Formulation Scientist to spearhead product development initiatives.
This role focuses on designing and optimizing formulations that harness the unique properties of hydrocolloids (including alginates and pectins) to meet real-world application challenges with in the bakery, dairy, confectionery, and beverage industry.
Responsibilities:
Lead development and optimization of high-performance food and ingredient formulations
Evaluate and apply hydrocolloids and pectins to deliver targeted functionality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, sales, marketing) to align technical work with market needs
Support commercial teams with customer-facing technical expertise
Develop technical documentation and participate in industry events
Qualifications:
B.S. in Food Science, Chemistry, or related field
4+ years in formulation / product development
Strong working knowledge of hydrocolloids and pectin systems
Familiarity with FDA/USDA/FSIS, GMPs, SOPs
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
