Electrician Journeyman

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical work, particularly in residential & commercial settings. This role involves building, renovating, and maintaining electrical systems in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). The successful applicant will demonstrate proficiency with various tools and equipment while ensuring safety and quality standards are met on construction sites.

Duties

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential & commercial buildings.

Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.

Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot electrical issues.

Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

Ensure all work complies with NEC standards and local regulations.

Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or necessary repairs.

Document work performed and maintain accurate records of materials used.

Experience

Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician.

Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring methods, and installation techniques.

Familiarity with NEC regulations and safety protocols.

Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters.

Ability to read and understand schematics and technical drawings.

Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.

Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members on-site.
