Job Title: Full-Time Fixed Asset Accountant

As a Fixed Asset Accountant, you will perform professional work requiring basic application and use of concepts, theories, practices and terminology of accounting. An employee in this position will process various financial documents and data, analyzing this data and preparing internal financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
Track assets and maintain a comprehensive and accurate ledger with all required details such as purchase dates, deployment dates, cost, useful life, location, and depreciation schedules
Calculate and record depreciation in accordance with GAAP and/or Tax regulations when appropriate.
Track and assist in the oversight of repairs and maintenance to fixed assets and assist in replacement costs when reasonable.
Oversee transfers or disposal of assets including sales, retirements or trades and properly record as such.
Work to improve operational efficiency by appropriately tracking assets and ensuring that utilization is maximized, theft risk is mitigated, and ordering is minimized.
Working with all departments to stay abreast of new projects to assist in capital expenditure reporting.
Assist management in planning and decision making processes.
Other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need to Be Successful:
Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting or related field and at least one-year related experience. Asset management accounting experience preferred. OR
Associate degree in Finance/Accounting or related field with a minimum of three years of related experience. Asset management accounting experience preferred. OR
Equivalent combination of education with at least two years of applicable experience in a health care environment. Asset accounting experience preferred.
