Job Description

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Structural Engineer Project Manager to lead and manage structural engineering projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have expertise in structural design, construction management, and quality assurance, with certifications in PCI, coatings, steel, CWI, ANNP/SSPC, and construction management. This role requires a strong technical background, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management & Leadership:

Oversee structural engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies.

Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets while managing resources effectively.

Structural Engineering & Design:

Conduct structural analysis and design for buildings, bridges, and infrastructure.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry codes and standards, including AISC, ACI, PCI, and ASTM.

Perform quality assurance reviews and inspections for structural integrity.

Quality Control & Inspections:

Utilize Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) credentials to inspect welded structural components.

Apply ANNP/SSPC standards for coating and corrosion protection.

Conduct PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute) inspections and evaluations.

Ensure proper steel fabrication and erection per industry specifications.

Construction Oversight:

Serve as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) to oversee construction activities.

Collaborate with general contractors and subcontractors to ensure structural safety and adherence to project specifications.

Conduct site visits to assess progress and troubleshoot engineering challenges.

Compliance & Documentation:

Prepare engineering reports, design calculations, and technical documentation.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Maintain records of inspections, quality checks, and project milestones.

Qualifications & Certifications:

Education: Bachelors or Masters degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.

Experience: 5+ years of experience in structural engineering and project management.

Certifications:

PCI (Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute)

CWI (Certified Welding Inspector AWS)

ANNP/SSPC (Coatings & Corrosion Standards)

Steel Construction Certification

Certified Construction Manager (CCM) (Preferred)

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in structural analysis software (SAP2000, STAAD Pro, Revit, AutoCAD, or similar).

Strong knowledge of materials, including concrete, steel, and coatings.

Understanding construction methodologies and best practices.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.

Experience with sustainability and green building practices is a plus.
