Senior POP Structural Designer

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for designing and developing innovative POP displays and packaging solutions that meet customer’s objectives; the Sr. Structural Designer will collaborate with cross functional teams: sales, customer services, manufacturing, and stakeholders to accomplish the desired output in a fast-paced environment. The Sr. Structural Designer will be responsible for implementing best in class optimization and efficiencies in the design and manufacturing processes. He/she will stay up to date with software, industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative materials to incorporate cutting-edge design elements in the design and ideation process.

DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION

Work with Sales Representatives and customers to develop creative solutions.

Interaction with customers when required.

Champion continuous process improvements to meet ever-changing customer needs and to increase productivity and profitability.

Mentor and cultivate new and emerging talent within Vanguard’s Creative community.

Provide conceptual structural solutions to meet client objectives.

Work with and through various mixed medium materials to provide innovative solutions.

Completes routine and complex structural design projects, sometimes under tight time constraints.

Prepare structural design files for prototypes, mock-ups, die lines, and bill of materials.

Maintains and generates project records in accordance with company policy and procedures.

Establish goals, track results design integrity, quality productivity.

Assure that daily all Vanguard standards and customer commitments are met.

Adhere to brand guidelines, retail regulations and style guides, and industry regulations.

Monitors all and follows guidelines of creative quality control procedures.

Ensure all direct customer feedback is promptly communicated and addressed.

Counsel customer on design solutions.

Build effective cross-functional relationships to enable and ensure successful collaboration with all Vanguard departments to produce a superior output.

Proactively provide creative solutions to existing and potential customers.

Maintain and manage and effective time management schedule.

Attendance is an essential function of the role.OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Required

Bachelor’s Degree in design or related field or combined education and experience

Minimum 5+ years’ experience in POP Display, corrugated structural design and packaging industry preferred.

Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Proficient in ArtiosCAD program.

Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office.

Project management skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Team-oriented.

Preferred

Use of Salesforce, HRMS, TaskRay, Webcenter

Corrugated packaging experience
