Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to focus on the design, development, and integration of electrical systems and energy storage solutions. This role involves working with a variety of distribution hardware and integrating new energy storage devices into telecommunication systems. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and implementing efficient energy storage systems while ensuring the seamless integration of electrical systems in both grid and off-grid environments.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop electrical systems and energy storage solutions from scratch, ensuring they meet business and customer requirements.

• Build replicas of customer-deployed environments and integrate new storage devices and energy systems.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D and product management to integrate electrical systems with existing infrastructures.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues related to electrical components and energy storage independently.

• Participate in system testing and quality assurance, including basic and advanced interoperability testing.

• Manage system performance monitoring tools and recommend improvements for energy storage and electrical systems.

• Provide input into the creation of system documentation, including design specifications and manuals.

• Train field and sales engineers on energy storage system requirements and best practices.

• Stay up to date with new technologies in electrical systems and energy storage to

ensure solutions are current and efficient.

• Ensure compliance with fire codes, NFPA, and National Electrician Code in system

design and implementation.

• Assist with system upgrades and transitioning to newer energy storage technologies as

needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• Equivalent military training, specifically targeting both Surface and Submarine nuclear navy fields, will be heavily considered.

• Proven experience in system engineering, particularly with 48V, -48V, 36V, 24V, and 12VDC distribution systems and hardware.

• Familiarity with CANBUS and MODBUS software protocols.

• Strong experience designing electrical systems and energy storage solutions, with some involvement in software integration.

• Ability to manage system performance monitoring tools and software.

• Basic Understanding of fire codes, NFPA, and National Electrician Code.

• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross functional teams.

• Willingness to stay current with industry trends and advancements in energy storage and electrical systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with automation or process optimization, particularly with test equipment (LabVIEW or similar software).

• Familiarity with system modeling, simulation, and analysis tools.

• Experience in telecommunication networks or similar industries.

• Experience with new product reviews and product introduction processes.
