Senior Cyber FPGA Design Engineer
Join our elite team as a Senior Cyber FPGA Design Engineer in Dedham, MA, where you will be instrumental in designing secure FPGA-based systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise, a passion for cybersecurity, and a deep commitment to securing national security assets. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product development from concept through production, focusing on system architecture, design verification, and ensuring the delivery of cost-effective and robust security solutions. A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is mandatory for this role.
Salary: $185,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Define and implement verification methodologies for complex FPGA designs using UVM and SystemVerilog.
Analyze technical requirements to develop comprehensive test plans that ensure all functionalities meet security and performance standards.
Develop and maintain scalable simulation environments from scratch to effectively test FPGA designs.
Work collaboratively within a team to manage project timelines, report progress and resolve design challenges.
Utilize advanced verification tools such as Xilinx FPGA and Questa to ensure thorough testing and validation processes.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system security and reliability over time. Minimum Position Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or a related field.
A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of experience.
Experience with scripting languages such as bash/csh, Perl, TCL, or Python.
Proficiency with hardware description languages like VHDL or similar.
Ability to function effectively in a dynamic environment with changing needs and requirements. Preferred Qualifications:
Proven experience in defining verification methodology for complex FPGAs.
Strong familiarity with SystemVerilog/UVM and setting up simulation environments from ground up.
Experience with FPGA/ASIC design is highly advantageous.
Familiarity with Xilinx FPGA & Questa Advanced Functional Verification tools.
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and drive team success. Skills:
Expertise in FPGA design and verification.
Strong analytical skills to analyze requirements and create effective test plans.
In-depth knowledge of VHDL or similar hardware description languages.
Competency in using verification tools and methodologies (OVM/UVM).
