WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR IN THIS ROLE
The Sr. QA Tech will carry out with limited supervision, quality analysis and control for production of shortcut, cello, food service, and other products. The Sr. QA Tech will train and provide guidance to QA Technicians.
Daily audits of QA technicians’ procedures which include verification of code dates, scales, water levels, plant GMP’s, and documentation.
Sample collection, operation of scales, data entry.
Serve as a QA/QC Technician backup, when necessary.
Perform weekly QA lab supply inventory.
Perform label verification procedures.
Perform Carrot receiving quality checks.
Monitoring and recording of facility PC (Preventive Controls) and CCPs (Critical Control Points)
Grading defects of carrots.
Assist FSQA leadership with facility trainings.
Complete product retains sample checks and data recording
Daily check of quality shift documents.
Analytical testing of raw and finished products as well as processing water and equipment
Examine product retain shelf-life samples, aid manager in evaluation of shelf-life data
Operate, calibrate and maintain equipment (scales, thermometers, hydrocooler monitors, etc.) routinely
Complete environmental monitoring, equipment swabbing, and inspections of production and QA/QC documents as directed.
Support special projects as assigned, update process control guidelines and valuations sheets as required.
Communicate test results and issues with QA and Production leadership in a timely manner.
Support the performance of audits and inspections of facility at required intervals, report nonconformance and support corrective action process
Perform other duties as assigned.

Must follow Bolthouse Fresh Foods standard operating procedures to prepare and/or analyze various parameters including good laboratory practices and aseptic techniques.
Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Access, Excel, and Word
High School Diploma or equivalent; or six to 1-year of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven, reliable, work history
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual Preferred (English/Spanish)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Environmental exposure –cold/wet conditions (40 ree; or below).
Ability to work in both hot and cold environments.
Material exposure-moving mechanical parts
Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles and vibrations.
Ability to ascend and descend ladders, scaffolding, using 3-point contact on a regular basis when assigned to perform work duties.
Must be able to stand and walk for an extended period of time during the work period
Regularly required to stand, walk, balance, stoop, kneel, and/or climb steps.
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
HOURS & WORKDAYS:
2nd Shift (4:30pm-4:30am) Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be mandatory based on business needs. Rotating workday/time off schedules may be mandatory depending on department/business needs as well.
