Behavior Interventionist ADSIS (.75 FTE) and Dean of School Culture(.25 FTE General Education), 10.5 Month Contract
Status: 10.5 month; Full-time, Exempt
Availability: SY 25-26 school year and beyond, beginning August 11, 2025
Compensation: $50,000-$65,000 dependent on experience.

Function:
The Behavior Interventionist is responsible for providing early intervention services for behavioral difficulties in accordance with MDE requirements for Alternative Delivery of Specialized Instructional Supports (ADSIS). The Dean of School Culture is responsible for building and maintaining systems that ensure a joyous, equitable, and achievement-oriented school culture. They implement the schools mission through effective support of the schools students and staff in maintaining a positive and healthy school climate. Working closely with the MTSS Director, Principals and Program Leads, the Dean of School Culture will support the integration of MTSS and PBIS into the schools programs and systems.
Qualifications:
Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students preferred
Bachelors Degree strongly preferred
Minimum 2 years of experience in an intervention or behavior role in an elementary school setting preferred
Experience with Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS)
Excellent oral and written skills
Bilingual/Spanish a plus
Successful experience working in an urban educational setting
Successful experience in communicating with parents and students.
Responsibilities:
Behavior Interventionist (ADSIS) .75 FTE:
Collect and use benchmark data to identify and provide interventions for students with behavioral difficulties.
Consult with teachers to provide ideas and materials to facilitate high quality, evidence based tier 1 interventions for students with behavioral difficulties
Maintain appropriate records and reports. Collect and maintain data on direct service activities with students in accordance with the ADSIS requirements outlined by the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE), maintain parent permission files, maintain student progress data files
Develop and deliver tier II interventions for behavior following evidence based practices, including: social skills groups and individual sessions with students who have qualified for services through the SST process and have been given parental consent to participate.
Actively participate in the following school-wide teams: Student Success Team (SST), MTSS and ADSIS
Attend and actively participate in schoolwide professional development
Communicate effectively with students, families, educators and administrators regarding student interventions and progress
Create and maintain professional working relationship with students, families and staff
Work with the schools social workers and special education teachers as necessary and partner with teachers to provide extra interventions.
Maintain Reflection Room process/procedures/interventions, and follow-through with communication with stakeholders.
Dean of Culture (General Education) .25 FTE:
Assists with implementation of school-wide and grade level/band behavior management systems aligned with the schools educational philosophy and goals
Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure implementation of equitable instructional practices and access to improve outcomes for all students.
Coaches and supports staff in driving a culture of high achievement.
Ensures due process and legal compliance with all student disciplinary actions.
Through coaching and modeling, support school based staff in building their capacity to implement positive culture and climate practices.
Engage and communicate with school stakeholders (parents, students, staff, etc.) regarding culture and climate interventions and initiatives.
Maintain systems and policies for attendance, entry, breakfast, class transitions, cafeteria usage, lunch, bathroom usage, dismissal, homework and other areas of student life.
Gather and analyze grade level/band trends around attendance, behavior, homework and class transitions and develop and lead initiatives to address challenges.
Provide support to students and families to ensure a positive learning environment aligned to the schools goals around academics and behavior that leads to investment into the community.
Conduct regular school culture walkthroughs to maintain a high bar of excellence.
