About the Role:
The Science Teacher at Avant Garde Academy for the 2025-2026 academic year will play a pivotal role in shaping students' understanding and appreciation of scientific concepts. This position requires the development and implementation of engaging lesson plans that align with state standards and foster critical thinking skills. The teacher will create a dynamic classroom environment that encourages inquiry-based learning and hands-on experimentation. Additionally, the Science Teacher will assess student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Ultimately, the goal is to inspire students to explore the wonders of science and develop a lifelong passion for learning.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Science Education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification in the state of Florida.
Experience in teaching science at the middle or high school level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience with project-based learning and STEM initiatives.
Familiarity with integrating technology into the classroom.
Responsibilities:
Develop and deliver comprehensive science curriculum for various grade levels.
Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on experiments and real-world applications.
Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and class participation.
