Ambulatory Anesthesia Care (AAC) is expanding and we're seeking to hire a dedicated full-time remote revenue cycle team member who thrives in the dynamic pace of the revenue cycle, particularly in medical collections, and values teamwork. The position is available starting February 28, 2024.

About AAC: We're a dynamic practice management organization supporting Ambulatory Surgery Centers and Office-Based Anesthesiology practices across Illinois, Texas, Washington, and Oregon.

Responsibilities: As a key team member, you will primarily focus on insurance collections for the anesthesia practices we serve. Your daily activities will include:

Appealing denials and underpayments

Requesting reconsideration for secondary provider claims processed out-of-network or specific codes processed incorrectly

Responding to requests for additional information, medical records, or other correspondence

Following up on unpaid or partially paid claims

Qualifications: To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

1-2 years of experience in medical insurance collections, preferably in anesthesia or surgical specialties

Previous experience working from home or within a remote/hybrid environment

Comfort with technology, including proficiency in various software applications and online payer portals

Office 365 and Excel experience is a plus

Willingness to engage in phone communication with payers and escalate calls to senior representatives when necessary

Working Hours: This position requires availability during CST operating hours, preferably 8 am ET – 4:30 pm CST. AAC will provide the selected candidate with a laptop and necessary IT supplies for secure remote work.
