General Laborer

Location: Aitkin, MN (30 miles north of Brainerd, MN)

Season: August 17th-October 1st

Position Overview

We are hiring dependable and hardworking individuals to join our team as General Laborers. This role covers a wide range of responsibilities in a food manufacturing environment, including packaging, sanitation, and deep cleaning. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions are essential to maintain cleanliness, quality, and safety standards.

Work Schedule & Compensation

Shifts Available:

5:00 AM - 1:00 PM $18.50/hour

1:00 PM - 9:00 PM $18.50/hour

9:00 PM - 5:00 AM $19.50/hour

Paydays: Every Friday

Schedule: 8-hour shifts, 7 days a week

Key Responsibilities

Package and case wild rice products according to production guidelines.

Perform routine cleaning of the work area, including sweeping and wiping.

Deep clean rooms, machinery, and equipment as scheduled.

Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.

Ensure accurate documentation and legible labeling.

Assist with moving materials and repetitive lifting throughout each shift.

Qualifications

Legible handwriting is required.

Basic literacy and math skills are essential.

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Must be able to follow instructions consistently and carefully.

Capable of very heavy physical labor, including:

Lifting over 100 pounds occasionally,

Lifting over 50 pounds frequently,

Lifting over 25 pounds constantly.

Able to perform repetitive lifting and extended periods of standing or moving.

Onsite Amenities

A campsite is provided with electricity, water, and a honey wagon.

Showers and bathroom facilities are provided on-site.
