Position: Master Scheduler
Organizational Information
• Reports to: Materials Manager
• Supervises: Production Scheduler
Position Summary
Develop and manage the master production schedule to align with customer demand, resource capacity,
and company delivery goals. Coordinate across departments to ensure timely execution of work orders,
identify and mitigate production constraints, and maintain efficient production flow. Lead planning
strategies that support Variosystems’ business objectives and KPIs while ensuring compliance with the QM
system and ISO requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Master Production Scheduling
• Develop and maintain a master production schedule based on customer orders, forecast data, and
inventory levels.
• Integrate input from Sales, Planning, Procurement, and Production to build an accurate and
achievable schedule.
• Balance long- and short-term capacity constraints to meet customer delivery commitments.
• Review, release, and sequence work orders based on priority, material availability, and production
efficiency.
• Collaborate with Department Managers, CST, and the Planning team to align production activities
with business goals.
• Communicate scheduling changes, risks, and conflicts proactively and clearly to stakeholders.
• Facilitate cross-functional meetings to resolve conflicts and improve planning processes.
• Monitor and adjust production schedules on a daily/weekly basis to optimize load balancing across
departments (e.g., SMT, Secondary Ops).
• Analyze production data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend resource adjustments (e.g., overtime, staffing) to maintain on-time delivery.
• Maintain accurate data in SAP; audit and adjust schedules and orders as necessary.
Additional Responsibilities
• Provide backup support to the Production Scheduler.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional workspace.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Minimum 3 years of scheduling experience in a manufacturing or electronics assembly
environment.
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred) and production planning principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Familiarity with ISO and quality management standards.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
