Senior Mechanical Engineer
Position Description:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will play a key role in driving the growth of the E3M Solutions Engineering team, contributing to design-build, design-assist, and plan & spec projects across a variety of industries.
Leading Responsibilities:
Lead conceptual development meetings with E3M team, clients, or contractors.
Provide direction and oversight for the design team.
Assist in the development of proposals for clients needs and requirements.
Participate in mentoring of team for professional and technical development.
Lead communication efforts on projects that the team lead is directly responsible for.
Serve as primary source of SD efforts on larger and conceptual projects.
Demonstrate enthusiasm and involvement in fostering a positive workplace culture.
Technical Responsibilities:
Complete and provide peer review of:
AutoCAD, REVIT & Load Models
Site Visits & Assessments
Point for project designs
Provide design solutions for systems as applicable
Mechanical Systems
Plumbing Systems
Process Related Systems
Alternative Energy Systems
Complete and provide peer review technical documents, drawings, or reports.
Assist in maintaining of standards & tools for engineering.
Participate in conceptual development meetings with E3M team, clients, or contractors.
Work in R&D efforts on new technologies and opportunities.
Perform other tasks and items necessary in a small business.
Position Requirements:
Professional Engineering License (PE) Preferred
7+ Years Design Experience - Preferred
AutoCAD & Revit Proficiency Required
Trane Trace or other Load Modeling Proficiency Preferred
Player-Coach Attitude:
A Senior Mechanical Engineer requires a player-coach mindset. Someone who is comfortable driving strategic initiatives, fostering team growth, and diving into day-to-day execution. In addition to executing design a portion of time will be focused on supporting design team, mentoring team members, and working closely with business leadership.
