Job Summary
This role supports the development and design of cryocoolers—highly specialized cooling systems used to cool down camera sensors to operational temperatures. The project contributes to the delivery of cooled infrared systems used in aerospace and defense applications.
Responsibilities
Design and development of cryocoolers
Troubleshooting and testing mechanical systems
Data acquisition and analysis
Working with electromechanical cooling systems
Performing material selection, thermal/magnetic/fluid analysis
Collaborating with systems engineers and cross-functional teamsRequired Experience and Skills
3+ years of mechanical design experience with cryocoolers or similar cooled systems
Experience in:
Testing, troubleshooting, and data collection
LabVIEW, C#, and other data acquisition tools
Electromechanical systems and electromagnetic coolers
Infrared sensor systems
GD&T and tight tolerance design
SolidWorks CAD
Knowledge of materials, thermal/magnetic/fluid dynamics
Strong mechanical engineering foundation (including part-level design)
Experience in aerospace/defense preferredEducation

Salary Range: $120,000 – $140,000 (annual estimate)
