Job Title: Saw Operator – Truss & Panel Plant

Location: Nisbet Brower – Cincinnati, OH

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reports To: Operations Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

Position Summary:

Nisbet Brower is seeking a reliable, safety-conscious Saw Operator to join our growing Truss and Panel Plant team. The Saw Operator is responsible for accurately cutting lumber according to production drawings and specifications to support the manufacturing of roof trusses, floor trusses, and wall panels. This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that is essential to the quality and efficiency of our building component operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate automated and manual saws to cut lumber to precise specifications.

Read and interpret production work orders, blueprints, and cut sheets.

Inspect lumber for quality and defects before cutting.

Label and organize cut materials for efficient flow to assembly stations.

Perform routine saw maintenance and report mechanical issues to maintenance personnel.

Monitor and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.

Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times.

Communicate with team members and supervisors to ensure accurate and timely production.

Assist in inventory control of raw materials and offcuts.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience in a manufacturing, lumber yard, or truss plant environment is a plus.

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math (fractions, decimals).

Comfort with power tools, saws, and manufacturing equipment.

Ability to read and understand shop drawings and work instructions.

Strong attention to detail and quality.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly and stand for extended periods.

Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
