The Accounting Technician will perform a variety of duties to include, but not limited to, HPMG Accounting and/or Accounts Payable (AP) processes, Corporate Card (C-Card), Accounts Receivable (AR) billing process; and administrative support, and responds to inquiries and/or issues relating to AP, AR & C-Card transactions.

JOB DUTIES

Processes daily accounts payable transactions.

Review Corporate card and expense report transactions and verify that transactions are in compliance with policies & procedures. Reconciles cardholder transactions to bank statement and ensures payment submission. Responds to inquiries and/or issues raised by providers or administrative specialists related to the A/P process.

Provides administrative support for the Financial Services Department. Supports General Accounting / Accounts Receivable with follow up.

Assists in responding to questions and issues regarding A/P and C-Card.

Assists in preparing various monthly journal entries, including A/P and C-Card accruals.

Performs various monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations.

Performs petty cash audit and completes petty cash audit report.

Performs all other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Associate’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting or related field. Bachelor’s degree in lieu of experience

At least two years prior general accounting and/or accounts payable experience.

Prior Financial accounting experience in a healthcare setting a plus.

Must have prior experience with Microsoft Excel.

Demonstrated ability to use automated accounts payable and/or general accounting information systems.

Must have high attention to detail, ability to prioritize, and possess excellent organizational skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be flexible and able to adjust priorities, as required.

Must have reliable transportation for possible travel to other clinics and the hospital.

The pay scale for this position starts at $26.54 per hour. Compensation commensurate with qualifications.
