BI Developer - Alteryx/Power BI

Job Summary:
We are seeking a data-focused Alteryx/Power BI Developer with 2–3 years of hands-on development experience to support the modernization of risk applications within a capital markets environment. The role will involve both legacy system support and new development on the Valuation Adjustment Target Operating Platform (XVA TOP), with a focus on scaling systems in preparation for increased post-asset cap trading volumes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain workflows using Alteryx and interactive dashboards using Power BI
Support both BAU (Business-As-Usual) activities and new platform development initiatives
Collaborate with a large global engineering team (approx. 40 members across onshore and offshore)
Participate in Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
Contribute to the convergence of legacy systems into the XVA TOP platform built on Java and Power BI stacks
Work closely with product managers and business analysts to transform reporting processes and output
Analyze and optimize data pipelines and reporting strategies for scalability
Required Skills & Experience:
2–3 years of hands-on experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI development
Ability to build, optimize, and maintain complex data workflows and visualizations
Strong understanding of data transformation, analytics, and reporting
Familiarity with capital markets or financial services data
Comfortable working in Agile environments (formal Agile experience not required)
Strong communication and collaboration skills across distributed teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in capital markets, trading, or risk-related systems
Exposure to Java-based environments or data architecture in financial platforms
Understanding of scalable architecture strategies for high-volume trading systems
Experience working on large-scale modernization initiatives
