Summary: Oversee the Anchored in Recovery Peer Support Center, which provides outreach, resource and service delivery linkages for single adults struggling with substance use and mental health challenges in downtown Framingham. Oversee the day to day operations and supervise a team of Recovery Coaches, Program Coordinator, Community Engagement Specialists and Volunteer Coordinator. Must comply adhere to tier contract requirements by DPH and BSAS.

Primary Responsibilities:
Manage the operational and fiscal activities of the program/department to include: staffing levels, budgets, and financial goals.
Design fundraising opportunities with staff and peers
Help facilitate board meetings and community meetings with peers
Provide non-clinical peer to peer support to peers
Strategize and work on CAPRSS accreditation
Network to vendors, host community events, host peer member idea events and programs
Recruit, manage, develop and evaluate staff by providing timely mentoring, training and performance management.
Complete required paperwork in accordance with company policy.
Document all flyers, agenda and center information for BSAS, DPH and CAPRSS
Manage day to day activities at the Peer Recovery Center
Utilize ideas from community meetings, board and staff and implement programs, policies and events
Help support staff to triage level of services for appropriate levels of care
Empower peers to run groups, develop the board, and community service and participation at the center
Support staff with outreach efforts, volunteer services, triage services
Build relations with local resources and vendors
Attend all BSAS, DPH, and CAPRSS meetings required
Organize field trips and outings for peers and upper management requirements and approvals
Work on community service projects for peers and the center
Provide information and data for grant reporting for BSAS and other grants
Engage all clients by understanding and addressing their needs whether within or outside the scope of work.
Attend & participate in team meetings as requested and communicate effectively with clients and staff in other areas.
Maintain confidentiality of client, employee and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
Ensure compliance with program/department, agency and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree desired
Prior peer recovery center experience required
Understanding substance use disorder and recovery
Must be in personal substance use disorder recovery with long term sobriety
Knowledge of the 12 Step program, SMART Recovery, AA, referral services, MAT programs
Strong verbal communication skills
Understanding of boundaries with peers
Valid Driver’s License and personal vehicle required
Dress is business casual for this position

Organizational Relationship: Directly reports to Director of Outpatient Substance Use Services. Direct reports to this position are the Program Coordinator, Recovery Coach(s), Community Engagement Outreach Specialist, and Volunteer Coordinator.
Physical Requirement: Ability to ascend and descend stairs.
Working Conditions: Some travel by program van may be required for traveling with peers, networking and attending meetings. As part of the responsibilities of this position, the Program Director will have direct or incidental contact with peers served by SMOC in various programs funded through BSAS. A successful background check and RMV Check is required.
Remote Work Option: This position is an in-person position. Remote work is not optional.
9am-5pm ; Monday-Friday
