Cornerstone Staffing is hiring CNC Machinists with strong turning experience to support precision machining operations for a global leader in aerospace and advanced manufacturing.
Work with cutting-edge materials and equipment in low-volume, high-complexity production environments.
Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC lathes/turning centers (vertical and horizontal, including VTLs). Read and execute G&M code programs (some conversational controls may apply). Follow sequential operation and setup sheets to guide part production.
Prepare machines by cleaning, loading tools/inserts, setting tool offsets, and performing machine alignments.
Inspect parts using in-process inspection tools, including First Part Inspections (FPIs) and First Article Inspections (FAIs). Machine low-lot and one-piece runs based on imperial/inch blueprints (not metric). Materials & Equipment: CSMC Facility: Machining new parts using titanium and nickel Operating vertical and horizontal lathes, including dual turret and live tooling machines EHRO Facility: Performing repair machining on titanium, nickel, and Inconel parts Operating 2-axis CNC VTLs HSMC North Facility: Machining new parts from titanium and nickel Using Giddings & Lewis 2-axis CNC VTLs Qualifications: Proficiency in G&M code required Experience with low-lot and precision machining preferred Ability to read imperial/inch blueprints and interpret setup instructions Skilled in using inspection tools and documenting quality checks at the machine Why Cornerstone Staffing: Access to top-tier machining projects in aerospace and energy sectors Stable hours with growth and contract-to-hire potential Work with premium materials like titanium, Inconel, and nickel alloys Clean, well-equipped, team-oriented shop environments
