Cybersecurity Project Manager

Title: Cybersecurity Project Manager Location: Houston, TX Duration: long-term contract Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holder, or Authorized to Work in the US We are seeking a Cybersecurity IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate security-focused initiatives across our enterprise environment.

This role will drive the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity projects in alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end lifecycle of cybersecurity projects (IAM, EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, GRC, etc.) Define project scope, goals, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders Partner with InfoSec, IT, compliance, and risk teams to ensure alignment and transparency Track budgets, timelines, and resource plans; provide regular project status updates Identify, assess, and manage risks, issues, and change control processes Ensure adherence to cybersecurity policies, frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), and audit readiness Lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and third parties across technical and business functions Required Qualifications: 5+ years of IT Project Management experience, with at least 2 years in cybersecurity Strong knowledge of cybersecurity domains and common tools (EDR, SIEM, firewalls, PAM, etc.) Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities Familiarity with project methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills PMP, CISM, or CISSP certifications preferred Preferred Skills: Experience with cloud security projects (Azure, AWS) Understanding of regulatory and compliance environments (HIPAA, SOX, GDPR) Exposure to security operations, incident response, or threat intelligence Our benefits package includes: Comprehensive medical benefits Competitive pay 401(k) retirement plan ...and much more!
