Position Overview:
The Safety and Asset Protection Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the safety, security, and protection of guests, employees, and resort assets at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. This position oversees daily security operations, enforces safety protocols, and collaborates with various departments to maintain a secure and luxurious environment aligned with Forbes Five-Star service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor and oversee resort security operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.
Safeguard resort assets by monitoring access points, conducting investigations, and preventing unauthorized activities.
Supervise and support security staff, ensuring effective shift coverage and response readiness.
Lead by example, fostering a professional and customer-focused approach to security operations.
Conduct routine safety inspections of resort grounds, guest areas, and employee workspaces to identify and mitigate potential risks.
Utilize surveillance systems and other security measures to prevent theft, fraud, and misconduct.
Train staff on asset protection best practices and reinforce a culture of accountability.
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency response teams when necessary.
Provide discreet and professional security support to maintain a welcoming and luxurious guest experience.
Respond promptly and tactfully to guest incidents or concerns, ensuring service recovery when necessary.
Document and report all security-related incidents accurately and efficiently.
Perform other related duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and business.
Qualifications and Skills:
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Previous experience in security, safety, or asset protection, preferably in a luxury hospitality environment.
Strong knowledge of emergency response protocols, loss prevention techniques, and risk management.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to handle high-pressure situations professionally.
Proficiency in security systems, surveillance technology, and access control procedures.
Certifications in CPR, First Aid, or security training are a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to safely lift, move, and stack items weighing up to 40 lbs.
Able to perform physical tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
