CNC Machinist - Milling

Cornerstone Staffing is hiring experienced CNC Machinists for milling and EDM operations across multiple high-tech manufacturing facilities.

Join a team machining precision components from advanced materials using 3–5 axis mills and/or Wire and Ram EDM systems.

Open Positions: CNC Milling Machinists (CSMC, HSMC North) Wire EDM/Ram EDM Operators (EHRO) Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate CNC machining centers (3–5 axis) or EDMs (Wire and Ram/Sinker). Interpret and execute programs written in G&M code (conversational controls may also be present). Follow operation and setup sheets for consistent, repeatable production.

Set up machines by cleaning, installing tooling, loading inserts, setting offsets, and aligning components.

Perform in-process inspections, FPIs, and FAIs, using workbench gauges.

Machine low lot sizes, including one-piece runs, based on imperial/inch prints.

Facility-Specific Details: CSMC: 3–5 axis horizontal machining centers Some vertical machining centers EHRO: Operate Wire EDM and Ram/Sinker EDM machines Preference for experience in both EDM types Monitor up to 3 machines simultaneously Written instructions and setup procedures provided HSMC North: Primarily 3–5 axis horizontal machining centers Seeking machinists with 5-axis HMC experience (1–2 of 3 hires) Qualifications: Proficiency in G&M code required Experience with 3–5 axis horizontal machining centers or Wire/Ram EDM Ability to read imperial blueprints and interpret detailed instructions Strong understanding of precision machining and in-process inspection techniques Prior aerospace, defense, or high-spec environment experience a plus
