Warehouse worker-Picker/Packer/Shipper/ order Operator/Load/Unloading

Position Description:

NutraStar West provides custom formulated capsules, tablets, and powders to growing nutraceutical brands. Our quality is second to none. We ship directly to any location across the globe. The order picker is responsible for retrieving and preparing raw materials and components required for manufacturing processes. They work within a production environment, ensuring that the correct items are picked, packaged, and delivered to the manufacturing floor accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities include:

Handle, move, load and unload materials by hand or using a variety of material handling equipment.

Ensures orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product final distribution.

Contributes to the orderly operation of stock and/or materials storage area.

Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording location of inventory, and reporting shortages.

Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.

Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.

Documents materials and records units delivered and location of units.

Receives credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and part number, lot numbers and quantities.

Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.

Issue and De-Issue Lots.

Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.

Operates forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signals machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, shipping and loading docks.

Keeps inventory, loading areas and machinery clean.

Open containers, sort and catalog materials.

Show a desire and willingness to learn and succeed.

Complete all required training activities.

Demonstrates commitment to the organization by maintaining regular, on site attendance, is reliable and follows through on responsibilities.

Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience:

Warehouse experience.

Ability to effectively communicate to keep others informed of progress and changes in work status.

Able to work as part of a team and adapt to changes in work duties.

Detail-oriented, thorough, and methodical, and able to follow a timeline.

Technical/Functional:

Detail-oriented, thorough, and methodical, able to follow directions and meet timelines.

Ability to use a hand jack, scissor lift, & forklift.

Assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of any Lot running on the lines.

Scanner and computer knowledge.

Deacom knowledge. (preferred)

Safety/Awareness:

Promote a safe work environment: ensure all safety protocols are followed, identify, and address potential safety hazards and investigate and report any accidents or near misses immediately to the Supervisor or EH&S Manager.

Follow OSHA Manufacturing Safety Awareness and precautions.

Comprehends and adheres to all pertinent Health and Safety Regulations, Policies and Procedures.

Ensure all GMP guidelines are adhered to, wear PPE, follow biohazard safety standards.

Additional Information:

Lifting, pushing, and pulling products.

Ability to handle 20-25 lbs. on a frequent basis from floor to chest high.

Standing for extended periods of time.

Work environment may be exposed to powders, chemicals, and allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, dairy, eggs, wheat, gluten, soy, fish and shellfish.)
