Position Overview:
As a Java Developer at The Argir Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality Java-based applications and backend systems. You will work closely with project managers, UX designers, and other developers to deliver software solutions that meet business and technical goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, test, and deploy Java applications, APIs, and microservices
Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code following industry best practices
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features
Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
Debug and resolve technical issues across the application stack
Integrate third-party APIs and work with relational and NoSQL databases
Maintain documentation for code, systems, and processes
Ensure application performance, scalability, and security
Stay current with Java technologies, frameworks, and development trends
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
3+ years of experience in Java development
Strong knowledge of Java SE/EE and frameworks like Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.
Experience building RESTful APIs and working with JSON/XML
Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) and design patterns
Experience with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB
Ability to write unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar tools
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Bonus Skills (Preferred but Not Required):
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines
Exposure to front-end technologies (JavaScript, React, Angular)
Agile/Scrum development experience
