Credit Union of New Jersey is currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to help us build and support an outstanding employee experience.

What You’ll Be Doing:

As our Human Resources Assistant, you'll play a key role in making our workplace a great place to work.

️ Assist with recruiting efforts: review resumes, schedule interviews, and communicate with candidates

️ Coordinate the onboarding process: prepare new hire paperwork, benefit orientations, and ensure a seamless first-day experience

Maintain accurate HR records (paper & digital) and ensure audit readiness

Be a point of contact for employees with benefits questions or HR needs

Keep our employee intranet updated and engaging

Ensure labor law compliance

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year accredited college or university, and/or 3–5 years of experience in human resources, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Proven experience in human resources is required.

Experience in benefits administration is strongly desired.

HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP) preferred.

This individual must be available for scheduling during Credit Union operating hours. Staffing assignments are periodically adjusted to meet business needs. This position could be transferred to another office in the same geographic region at any time.
