Software QA Analyst II

Job Description

Summary of Position: (Provide a brief narrative, one or two sentences, that highlights the primary purpose to the organization and key responsibilities of the job).

Executes testing procedures to ensure that Engineering deliverables (hardware and software) meets established product requirements and quality standards.

Prepares data sets to test logic, error handling and system workflows. Isolates, reproduces, and tracks defects. Verifies fixes. Documents testing according to required procedures. May assist with the creation of new testing scripts and plans.

Collaborates with other QA Analysts on projects/matters of limited complexity. Work on more complex tasks is closely managed or directed by the QA Manager.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: (State the essential functions of the job, organized from most to least essential. Evaluate product requirements and develop testing procedures, test plans and test scripts that will be used to ensure product requirements are met.

Develop test data sets (test documents) required to complete test plans

Conduct testing of all product features.

Report issues and verify fixes.

Document issues and provide feedback using Engineering’s problem management reporting system (currently Redmine)

Document test results report

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: (List the minimum required education, prior experience, certifications, licenses, and specialized areas of knowledge required to adequately perform the essential functions of the job).

Requires a bachelor's degree or its equivalent.

Requires 2-4 years of related experience.

Experienced with software development cycle and quality assurance methodologies.

Familiar with check scanning or similar desktop peripherals

Experienced with desktop computers and MS Windows desktop applications

Experienced with Windows, Mac and Linux environments

Experienced with USB and network PC peripherals

The primary work location is the Digital Check Corp. office in Novi, MI with possibility for some amount of work from home.
